Actress Tatum O’Neal placed on psychiatric detention after police responded to calls of 'suicidal threat’

 

 

Oscar award winning actress, Tatum O’Neal, has been reportedly put in a psychiatric home after police were called for a “suicidal person.”

According to a report by TMZ, police responded to a call for a suicidal person at a Los Angeles home last month. 

The Oscar-winning actress is the daughter of actor Ryan O’Neal and is the youngest person to ever win an Oscar at age 10 for her role in Paper Moon. 

She has had a history of substance abuse issues and in 2008, she was arrested on suspicion of buying drugs in New York City.

In her memoir 'A Paper Life', she revealed how her heroin addiction caused her to lose custody of her three children to ex, John McEnroe.
